DOLPHIN ENCOUNTER:  Learn about the Florida Keys’ sensitive Eco-system and marine life in an up-close encounter with an Atlantic bottlenose dolphin. Designed to inspire awareness and promote conservation, marine biologists at the Dolphin Connection provide a unique educational experience sure to create a lifetime of memories.

Finding ways to help endangered marine life is an important function of the Dolphin Connection. By studying dolphin behavior – such as reproductive habits – the staff collects valuable data that can be used in studies to help other endangered aquatic creatures.

The Dolphin Connection features three types of programs:

DOLPHIN DISCOVERY:   Interact directly with the dolphins for 25 minutes in the saltwater lagoon as skilled trainers guide this 45 - minute program.

• Participants must be 4'6" (138 cm) or taller
• Participants must be able to read, speak, and understand the English Language.
• For your safety, pregnant guests are not allowed to participate
• Designed as an interactive encounter, participants will not swim with the dolphins

DOCKSIDE DOLPHINS:   This unique 30-minute dockside program provides families with a behind-the-scenes look at the dolphin training and the opportunity to participate as a dolphin trainer's assistant.

• $40/Hawks Cay guests; $45/non-resort guests
• Participants 5 and younger must be accompanied by a paid adult
• Since this is a dockside encounter, participants will not enter the water

DOLPHIN DETECTIVES:   Specially designed to stimulate a child's sense of wonder, this 30-minute dockside program allows children a supervised, hands-on training experience with the dolphins

• $40/Hawks Cay guests; $45/non-resort guests
• Participants 5 and younger must be accompanied by a paid adult
• Since this is a dockside encounter, children will not enter the water
• Reservations accepted 3 months in advance & are non-refundable.
